INSTALLING PULSE SECURE ON A MOBILE DEVICE
Download the Pulse Secure App from the App Store or Google Playstore.
- Accept the license agreement.
- Tap Enable Pulse secure.
- Tap Connect, use the following settings:
- Name is optional but enter Smith.
- URL: vpn.smith.edu
- Username is optional but entering your username now will save from entering it later.
- Authentication is password.
- Tap Save when complete.
Using the Smith VPN Connection
Open the Pulse Secure App.
1. Tap the Connect button.
2. A Smith College screen image with a welcome to the Pulse Secure Access will appear. Your username is already filled in, now enter you Smith network password and tap Sign in.
3. Starting July 29, 2019, Duo Two-factor authenitcation will be added to Pulse Secure. You should recognize the Duo screen that pops up, complete the Duo connection as you normally would.
4. When you are done with your work, always go back and open the Pulse Secure icon and tap Disconnect.
