Winter Faculty Meeting

Winter Faculty Meeting

Each year, the School for Social Work hosts a winter faculty meeting in preparation for the upcoming summer sessions. The 2.5 day meeting allows administrators and faculty to make connections, plan for the summer and discuss any pressing issues that have emerged since the previous summer.

A pre-meeting training session provides new faculty members with opportunities to receive training in Moodle, a course management system used by Smith College. Use of Moodle is required by all faculty for viewing syllabi, e-reserves, posting assigments, emailing students, etc.

Faculty members are notified of the date of the winter faculty meeting each year and are expected to RSVP to facilitate the School's planning of the event.

In the weeks leading up to the meeting, a link to the RSVP form can be found on this page, along with details about the meeting agenda.

A sample schedule for the winter faculty meeting is below.
