Scott Gymnasium is home to a dance studio, gymnasium, training room and the human performance laboratory. Ainsworth Gymnasium provides a swimming pool with one- and three-meter diving boards, five international-sized squash courts, a fitness studio with a 24-foot-climbing wall and an intercollegiate gymnasium.
The indoor track and tennis building (ITT), the site of NCAA track meets, includes four tennis courts and a 200-meter track. The 6,500-plus square foot Olin Fitness Center features 40 pieces of aerobic machines, each with individual TV screens as well as 50-plus weight-lifting stations.
The facilities of the sport complex are augmented by 30 acres of athletic fields that offer opportunities for running, tennis, croquet, equestrian and field games, as well as a boathouse and pond for canoeing and rowing.
Facilities are open from June 4 to August 18. All facilities are closed on July 4.

J. Aleah Nesteby, MSN, FNP joined Northampton Family Practice at 22 Atwood Dr., Northampton in December of 2016.
Nesteby spent the past 10 years working to ensure availability of compassionate and non-judgmental health care for the LGBTQ community in Western, Mass., and serves as Cooley Dickinson’s new Director of LGBTQ Services.
Nesteby is a member of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH), and a provider-volunteer for the online peer-to-peer consultation services to Transline.

The Schacht Center provides SSW students with an opportunity to seek consultation on ways best to support themselves with the variety of concerns that arise during their time on campus.
The Center provides short-term treatment and consultation (5 sessions) and referral services to local providers for those who want counseling or therapy beyond what can be provided through the consultation sessions. The professional staff at the Center can also connect students to other campus resources as needed.

They offer afternoon, evening and weekend walk-in hours to treat non-life-threatening minor illnesses and injuries with skill, compassion and efficiency; and they are just a mile down the road from Smith College!
