Associate Dean of Students and Director
Open hours: Friday 2:30-4:30pm, and by appointment
The director of residence life is responsible for all areas of residence life at Smith College. The director supervises the residential life staff, working closely with the area coordinators and head residents.

The associate director is a member of the Residence Life professional staff. She works collaboratively with the Director of Residence Life, primarily in programming, training and recruitment. She also works closely with the area coordinators and student staff. She advises the House Presidents' Association and directs the campuswide social system.

The assistant director is a member of the Residence Life professional staff. Her primary job responsibilities are housing assignments including room assignments, break housing, summer housing, spring housing lottery, the first-year room assignment process, room change requests and extended and early arrival housing. She also works with the director and associate director in the overall leadership of the department.
Student Support Coordinator

The student support coordinator is a member of the Residence Life professional staff. She is the point person for the Student Affairs website, coordinates housing accommodations, is responsible for maintaining online forms, and manages break housing.

Area coordinators are residence life professional staff members who work closely with the house communities within their assigned area. There is a residence life office in each area. The area coordinators and house student staff are the first points of contact if students have questions about their housing.
