GaYee Park is a current PhD candidate in mathematics at the University of Massachusetts, pursuing research in combinatorics. She first came to Smith College to attend the post-baccalaureate program. She is happy to be back as a graduate student to help other Smithies in quantitative learning!

Lab Report Appointments: Use the links for lab writing tutors at least 24 hours ahead of the anticipated need for feedback to make an appointment.

  • Anh is a senior majoring in Mathematics. She has taken MTH 153, MTH 211, MTH 212, MTH 238, MTH 255, MTH 282, MTH 281, MTH 233. She did not take Cal I and Cal II at Smith. She is happy to help with any materials but is most comfortable with Cal I, Cal II, Discrete, and Analysis.
  • Annie has taken MTH 112 (Calc II) at Smith, and the equivalent of MTH 111 (Calc I) before coming to Smith. She is happy to help with any material related to those subjects.
  • Cece is a sophomore majoring in engineering. She has taken MTH 211 (Linear Algebra) and MTH 212 (Calc III) at Smith, and the equivalent of MTH 111 (Calc I) and MTH 112 (Calc II) before coming to Smith. She is most comfortable with MTH 212 and 211 material, but will also do her best to help with material from MTH 111 and  MTH 112.
  • Emarie is a post-bacc in the mathematics department and a recent graduate of Oberlin College. They have taken calc 1, calc 2, calc 3, Linear Algebra, most undergraduate statistics courses. They are comfortable helping with all calculus courses and statistics, but can try to help with linear algebra.
  • Gina is a junior double majoring in quantitative economics and math. She has taken MTH 212, MTH 153, MTH 211, and MTH 280 at Smith. She has taken the equivalent of MTH 111 and MTH 112 before coming to Smith. She is more comfortable with helping with MTH 111 and MTH 112, but can try to help with Calc 3 and linear algebra.
  • Julie is a sophomore majoring in biochemistry. She has taken MTH112 and MTH212. She took the equivalent of MTH 111 before coming to Smith, and is available to help with any of these topics!
  • Kate is a junior math and religion double major. They have taken MTH 153, MTH 212, and MTH 281 at Smith and the equivalent of MTH 111, MTH 112, and MTH 211 before coming to Smith and can help with any of those classes.
  • Madison is a a senior math and theatre double-major who has taken MTH 112, 153, 211, 212, 233, 246, 270, and 280 at Smith, and the equivalent of MTH 111 before coming to Smith. She's happy to help with material from Calc I, II, or III, and can try to help with material from Linear Algebra and Probability as well!
  • Nachama is a mathematics postbacc at Smith. She went to Brooklyn College for undergrad, where she took the equivalent of MTH 111 (Calc 1), MTH 112 (Calc 2), MTH 212 (Calc 3), MTH 153 (Discrete), MTH 211 (Linear Algebra), MTH 238 (Number Theory), MTH 246 (Probability), MTH 264 (Differential Equations), MTH 370 (Topology), and a few other courses. She's happy to help with Calc 1 and 2, and can also try to help with other courses she's taken.
  • Rachel is a senior math major and landscape studies minor. She has taken LOG 100, MTH 212, MTH/SDS 220, MTH 153, MTH 246, MTH 264, and MTH 280 at Smith. She took the equivalent of MTH 111 and MTH 112 before coming to Smith and MTH 211 at another university but can help with material from those classes too.
  • Suany is a junior Math Major. She's taken Calc I, Calc II, and Calc III at Smith and is available to help with any of these topics!

Quantitative Social Science (Psychology, Sociology & Government)

This semester, Bailey is the tutor for SOC 204.
Besides time in lab, Bailey has drop-in hours in the Spinelli Center, Seelye 207, on Thursdays from 4-5pm.

Bailey is a junior doubling in Sociology and History. She took SOC 204 last fall. She can help with class content, survey creation, survey analysis, and stata programming.

  • Marium is a senior SDS and math double major. She has taken SDS 192/220/235/291/293, CSC 111, MTH 211, and courses in Bayesian Data Analysis and Advanced Programming in R. She can help with general stats material, R programming, and Git/GitHub.
  • Natalia (she/they) is a senior SDS and math double major. She has taken SDS 192, SDS 109, CSC111, SDS 291, MTH 111/112/212/280/211, SDS 246, SDS 320, modeling for machine learning, as well as classes in Bayesian analysis and advanced programming in R.
