  • Andrianne is a junior engineering major and she is excited to help students with questions relating to EGR 220, 270, and 290.
  • Annie is a senior Engineering major/Physics minor and the point-tutor for EGR 290, thermodynamics. Annie can answer questions related to EGR 270, EGR 220, EGR 374 and EGR 375. She can also help with PHY 117, PHY 118, and PHY 210.
  • Finn is a senior engineering major who can answer questions related to EGR 270, EGR 290, and EGR 374.
  • Lizzie is a junior engineering major and chemistry minor. She can help best with EGR 290 and EGR 110, but she is also available to help with EGR 270 and EGR 220.
  • Maddi is a junior engineering major who is looking forward to helping answer questions relating to EGR 220, 270, and 290.
  • Tani is a junior and an engineering major with specific interest in structural engineering, construction and design. I am excited to help students out as much as I can with Engineering Circuit theory (EGR 220) and other general STEM questions.

Math TAs

The Math TAs are available Sunday - Thursday evenings 7-9 pm in the Math Forum on the third floor of Burton Hall. The TA's are eager to welcome you and to support your progress in mathematics.
To enter Burton at night, you'll need to enter the Science Center with your one card either at the main entrance of Burton or via the Sabin Reed door across from McConnell with the wheelchair ramp.

Math TA's can help you with questions in the courses: MTH 102, 111, 112, 153, 211, and 212.

  • Dayln is a junior Math and Philosophy double major. She has a strong background in math and has worked as a tutor for Calculus I, Calculus II, and Linear Algebra before. While at Smith she's taken MTH 281 (Intro to Analysis), MTH 233 (Modern Algebra), and ECO 153 (Intro to Macroeconomics) and this semester she'll be taking MTH 328 (Complex Analysis) and Logic. 
  • Hening is a senior Math and Computer Science double major. While at Smith she has taken Discrete Math (MTH 153), Linear Algebra (MTH 211), and Calculus III (Math 212). During her junior year in Paris, she took a course on Number Theory (MTH 238) and another on Graph Theory (MTH 255) and Combinatorics (MTH 254). This semester, she will be taking Probability (MTH 246) and Introduction to Real Analysis (MTH 281).
  • Karina is a senior Mathematics major. She has taken Calc I,II in high school and Calc III at Smith.   • Molly is a junior math major and sustainable foods concentrator. At Smith she has taken Discrete Math (MTH 153), Linear Algebra (MTH 211), Calc 3 (MTH 212), Modeling in the Sciences (MTH 205), and Intro to Modern Algebra (MTH 233). She is currently enrolled in Topics in Number Theory (MTH 238) and Intro to Real Analysis (MTH 281). 
  • Priya is a junior math major who has taken MTH 153, MTH 211, MTH 212, MTH 220, and MTH 280 at Smith. Other quantitative courses she has taken at Smith are AST 111, PHY 210, and PHY 215. She took MTH 111, MTH 112, PHY 117, and PHY 118 prior to entering Smith but can help with material from those classes as well.
  • Rachel is a sophomore intended math major. She has taken Calculus III (MTH 212) and Logic 100 (LOG 100) at Smith, as well as AP Calculus BC in high school. This semester she is taking Introduction to Probability and Statistics (MTH/SDS 220).

  • Alice is an Ada Comstock Scholar double majoring in World Literature and Mathematics and prefers their Math pure. They've been tutoring for several years up to Calc II levels, but have also taken Calc III, Intro to Discrete, and Linear Algebra at Smith and can help with those too.  They will be chipping their way through Intro to Analysis and Topics in Number Theory this semester. 
  • Candy is a Junior Engineering and Data Sciences double major. She is willing to help with MTH 111, MTH 112, MTH 220, CHM 111, PHY 117, and EGR 100, 110. She has also taken EGR 220, 270, 290, and 374 as well as SDS 192, 293, and might be able to help with any of those courses.
  • Echo is a senior Engineering and Chemistry double major. She can help with Calculus (MTH 111, 112, 212), Linear Algebra (211) and Statistics (220, 291). She has also taken PHY210, CSC111, CHM 118, 222, 223, EGR 100, 110, 290, and might be able to help with those courses as well.
  • Jeny is a Senior Economics and Statistical and Data Sciences double major. In addition to MTH 111, 112, and 220, she can also help with all of the core Economics courses (ECO 150, 153, 250, 253) and  MTH 211, 212, and 291. She is currently taking MTH 246. 
  • Isabel is a senior Economics and French Studies double major. She has taken and can help with the core courses of the Economics major (ECO 150, 153, 220, 250, 253), as well as the ECO 226 (Economics of European Integration) elective.   • Audrey is a junior Data Science major and Public Policy minor. She has taken Intro to Data Science, Intro Stats, Research Design & Analysis, Multiple Regression, and Machine Learning (in R). She can help with data wrangling, cleaning, visualization, reproducibility, and version control (with GitHub) as well as any intro statistics questions. She also has experience in writing R packages.
  • Crystal is Math and SDS double major. She has taken Intro to Data Science, Research Design and Analysis, Multiple Regression, Machine Learning using R, Probability, Mathematical Statistics, and Research Seminar on Population Health. She can assist with any topic mentioned, Bayesian statistics, and R.
  • Clara is a senior majoring in SDS and American Studies. She has taken Intro to Data Science, Communicating with Data, and Multiple Regression. She can also help with intro statistics classes and R.
  • Elaona is a senior Economics and Statistical and Data Science double major. She has taken SDS 192, 291, 293, 390 (Structural Equation Modeling), ECO 220 and 240. She can assist with questions relating to these courses, R, Rstudio, and STATA. 
  • Emma is a senior SDS major. She has taken Intro to Data Science, Data Journalism, Multiple Regression, Structural Equation Modeling, and Machine Learning. She can also help with intro statistics classes and R. She has additional experience with Excel, data wrangling, creating maps in R, building shiny apps, and basic knowledge of Python, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Irene is a senior majoring in SDS. She is proficient in R and can assist with topics in intro statistics, multiple regression, communicating with data, and intro data science.
  • Jordan is a senior majoring in Statistical and Data Sciences who has taken SDS 192, 220, 290, and 291. I can help with any questions from these classes and I am familiar with R and R Studio as well.
  • Maggie is a senior majoring in GOV and SDS. She can assist with topics covered in SDS 192, 236, 290, 291, and Intro Stats. She is proficient in R and has experience with open government data.
  • Paige is majoring in Stats and Data Sciences and Psychology. She has taken SDS 192, 201, 291, and 293, and can help with RStudio and stats questions.
