  • Alessia is excited to help out with EGR 270 and 290 and is willing to help with other engineering classes as well
  • Annie is the point-tutor for EGR 290, thermodynamics, and can also answer questions related to EGR 270, EGR 220, and EGR 374.
  • Beatrix is a senior engineering major (B.S.) and government minor.  She has taken Calc I, II, and III; some biology (130, 131), chemistry (111), and physics (117, 210); the core engineering classes; and some machine learning and statistics (293, 220).  She can also help with Python, Java, MatLab, and LaTeX.
  • Francesca is a junior engineering major who can answer questions related to EGR 270, EGR 290, and EGR 374.
  • Ha is primarily supporting EGR 374, and can also help with EGR 270, PHY117, 118, and calculus-related problems.
  • Lizzie is primarily supporting EGR 110 and 100. She can also help with MTH 111, 112, 212 and CSC 111 questions.
  • Mandira is primarily supporting EGR 270 and can also help with EGR 110 and 290. 
  • Tani is a junior and an engineering major with specific interest in structural engineering, construction and design. I am excited to help students out as much as I can with Engineering Circuit theory (EGR 220) and other general STEM questions.
  • Winnie is an enthusiastic Engineering major and prospective Computer Science minor. She is primarily supporting EGR 100 and EGR 110 but can also help with EGR 270 and any Calculus I & II problems. She has also taken CSC 111, Physics 117 and EGR 110 and can answer questions on them.

Math TAs

The Math TAs are available Sunday - Thursday evenings 7-9 pm in the Math Forum on the third floor of Burton Hall. The TA's are eager to welcome you and to support your progress in mathematics.
To enter Burton at night, you'll need to enter the Science Center with your one card either at the main entrance of Burton or via the Sabin Reed door across from McConnell with the wheelchair ramp.

Math TA's can help you with difficulties and questions in the courses: MTH 102, 111, 112, 153, 211, and 212.

  • Caira is a junior math major who has taken Calc 2 (MTH 112), Calc 3 (MTH 212), Discrete Math (MTH 153) , and Linear Algebra (MTH 212).
  • Dayln is a sophomore Math and Philosophy double major. She has a strong background in math and has worked as a tutor for Calculus I, Calculus II, and Linear Algebra before. While at Smith she's taken MTH 281 (Intro to Analysis), MTH 233 (Modern Algebra), and ECO 153 (Intro to Macroeconomics) and this semester she'll be taking MTH 328 (Complex Analysis) and Logic. 
  • Elizabeth is a senior Computer Science major. She spent her junior year abroad in Paris. She has taken Discrete Math, Calc III, and Linear Algebra at Smith, as well as high school AP courses in Statistics and Calc I and II.

  • Clara is a sophomore at Smith College, majoring in Biology and Classical Studies. She has taken AP Biology and AB/BC Calculus in high school, which corresponds to Bio 130, Bio 132, Calc I, and Calc II.  In college, she has taken Calculus III, General Chemistry, and Intro to Stats, as well as assorted biology courses. She is currently taking Microbiology (BIO 204) and Genomes and Genetic Analysis (BIO 230).
  • Elizabeth is a senior Computer Science major. She spent her junior year abroad in Paris. She has taken Discrete Math, Calc III, and Linear Algebra at Smith, as well as high school AP courses in Statistics and Calc I and II. 
  • Eve is a chemistry and physics double major. She has taken calculus III and many chemistry (CHM118, 222, 223, 326, 331, 363, 328) and physics (PHY 210, 215, 240, 317, 318, 327) classes. She is willing to help with general calculus questions as well as chemistry and physics problem sets/lab reports. 
  • Francesca is a junior engineering/math major who can help with calculus, linear algebra, introductory statistics, introductory physics, and the 200 level engineering core classes.
  • Karena is a sophomore engineering major. She has taken Calculus I, II, and III as well as CHM 118 and PHY 117. She has also taken EGR 100,110, 290, and CSC 111.
  • Lisa is a sophomore math major who can help with Calc I-III, Discrete Math, and SDS 220.
  • Morgan is a Senior Economics Major with a concentration in Global Financial Institutions.  She has taken and tutored for almost all the core (ECO 150, 153, 220, 250, 253).  Additionally, she has taken many electives in the Econ department including ECO 240 and can assist with any of them. She can also assist with MTH 111.
  • Sarah is a junior math and sociology double major. She has taken Calculus I-III, Discrete Math (MTH153), Linear Algebra (MTH 211), Multiple Regression (MTH 291), and Probability (MTH 246). She is currently taking Research Design and Analysis(MTH290) and Mathematical Statistics(MTH320).

  • Crystal has taken Intro to Data Science, Research Design and Analysis, Multiple Regression, Machine Learning using R, Probability, Research Seminar on Population Health. She can assist with R and any topic mentioned.
  • Clara Clara is a junior majoring in SDS and American Studies. She has taken Intro to Data Science, Communicating with Data, and Multiple Regression. She can also help with intro statistics classes and R.
  • Emma is a junior SDS major. She has taken Intro to Data Science, Data Journalism, and Multiple Regression. She can also help with intro statistics classes and R. She has additional experience with data wrangling, creating maps in R, building shiny apps, and basic knowledge of Python, SQL, and Tableau. 
  • Kat is a senior majoring in SDS and Psychology. She is proficient in R and has taken intro to data science, multiple regression and can help with data science as well as intro statistics questions.
  • Irene is a junior majoring in SDS. She is proficient in R and can assist with topics in intro statistics, multiple regression, communicating with data, and intro data science.
  • Jordan is a junior majoring in Statistical and Data Sciences who has taken SDS 192, 220, 290, and 291. I can help with any questions from these classes and I am familiar with R and R Studio as well.
  • Paige is majoring in Stats and Data Sciences and Psychology. She has taken SDS 192, 201, 291, and 293, and can help with RStudio and stats questions.
  • Rocio is majoring in Computer Science and Statistical and Data Science. Can help with R and Intro Stats questions.
  • Starry is a junior  SDS and economics double major. She has taken SDS 192, SDS 290, SDS 291 and ECO 220. She can assist with topics in these classes and can help with R.
