Smith Announces Changes to Bulb Show, Other Events

As part of its ongoing response to COVID-19, Smith College has announced that it will limit large gatherings on campus by requiring that public events with an expected attendance of 50 or more people be canceled, postponed or, if possible, moved to online delivery methods.

The new policy is in place through May 1 and may be extended.

“As of today, there are no suspected or confirmed cases of the disease on our campus,” said David DeSwert, vice president for finance and administration. “It is our responsibility, however, to take informed, proactive steps to ensure the continued safety of our community.”
