Looking to travel to New York by train? Amtrak has announced new service between Northampton and New York City. 

Beginning this Friday, August 30, a new train—the Valley Flyer—will depart Northampton for New York’s Penn Station weekdays at 6:10 and 8 a.m. On weekends and holidays, the Valley Flyer will leave Northampton at 9:40 a.m.

Afternoon service from Northampton to New York is still available from Northampton to New York City on Amtrak’s Vermonter line. That train departs Northampton daily at 2:01 p.m.
