New Trustees Announced at Smith College

Four new members joined the Smith College board of trustees on July 1, 1999, and the fifth new member began his term October 1, 1999.

New board members include the former president of the college's Student Government Association, Cherilyn Cepriano '99, who is presently a senior staff assistant at the National Governors' Association in Washington, D.C.; Professor of Law, Temple University Law School, Phoebe A. Haddon '72; former U.S. Congresswoman from California's 36th District Jane Lakes Harman '66; Executive Vice President, Edelman, Public Relations Worldwide, Barbara Alden Taylor '65; and Dean of Princeton's School of Engineering and Applied Science, James Wei. Wei is also the Pomeroy and Betty Perry Smith Professor in Engineering and professor of chemical engineering at Princeton.
