Smith College: There’s an App for That™
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Smith College recently launched Smith Mobile, an iTunes App providing instant access to information about the college using an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch device available free on the Apple App Store.
The application allows users to search the college's directory of faculty, staff and students; to learn what’s on the menu in the dining rooms; browse the course catalogue; read the latest Smith news; and access Smith content on iTunesU. Additionally, alumnae can search for classmates on the online directory of their peers.
Smith Mobile is the first App to enable students, faculty, visitors, parents and alumnae to access key features of college life instantly. “Smith is meeting people wherever they are,” said Sarah Moriarty, director of administrative technology and member of the Smith Class of 1972.
Smith College educates women of promise for lives of distinction. One of the largest women’s colleges in the United States, Smith enrolls 2,600 students from nearly every state and 62 other countries.
