Towards Authentic Inclusion (through Compassion): a Campus-wide Dialogue, Friday, Oct. 12, 4-5:30 p.m., Davis Ballroom
How does a campus community build its capacity for deep listening and compassionate dialogue? This event will focus on how to practice compassion and what one Zen master calls deep listening. Kaira Jewel Lingo will lead activities that nurture these qualities that lead to effective action that builds community. Kaira Jewel Lingo teaches Buddhist meditation, mindfulness and compassion internationally. An ordained nun for 15 years, she is now a lay teacher leading retreats for activists, people of color and artists. She is a leader in the Wake Up Schools movement.
