At Commencement Exercises at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 21, Smith will award degrees to more than 660 undergraduate and graduate students.
Honorary degrees will be awarded to global media leader Oprah Winfrey—who will also deliver the commencement address—and to:
- Clare Higgins
- Michelle Kwan
- Henrietta Mann
- Erin O’Shea ’88.
Here’s how you can watch the event.
Commencement is a family occasion, and seating at Smith’s ceremony is limited to graduating students and their guests.
In case of rain, Commencement will be held in the Indoor Track and Tennis facility, and tickets will be required. Tickets have been issued to graduates for distribution to their families and guests. In case of rain, graduates’ guests without tickets are invited to view Commencement at simulcast locations in Sweeney Concert Hall and Weinstein Auditorium.
Alumnae on campus for Reunion are invited to enjoy the live stream of the ceremony at their class brunches.
Smith staff and members of the public who are on campus may view the Commencement ceremony on a big screen in John M. Greene Hall. No tickets are required.
Anyone anywhere may view the ceremony via a live stream beginning at 10 a.m. on Smith’s web site.
