July 30: Temporary Power Disruption in Some Campus Buildings (Rescheduled)
On Tuesday, July 30, Facilities Management will shut down power in several campus buildings, beginning at 5 a.m. for up to five hours, in order to replace a transformer to support Cutter-Ziskind renovations. Power will be shut down in: Tilly Hall, Friedman Apartments, Sessions, Sessions Annex, Parsons Annex, Davis Center, 10 Prospect St., Capen House, Capen boiler room, Capen garage, Capen Annex, Helen Hills Hills Chapel, and Cutter-Ziskind houses. Phone service will not be disrupted. Life safety generators and battery systems will activate to maintain emergency lighting in the buildings during the early hours of the shutdown. Please shut down personal computers prior to the outage to protect against lost work and power irregularities. This power interruption is rescheduled from July 23 due to heavy rains and dangerous conditions for high-voltage electrical work that day.
