Chilled Water Lines Replacement During Spring Break 2013

Facilities Management will be overseeing the replacement of the central campus chilled water lines under Neilson Drive this March. The existing piping from the drive behind Washburn House to John M. Greene Hall will be replaced with new lines to provide additional capacity for the expansion of the central chilled water distribution system. Since the replacement of these lines during the usual summer construction period would disrupt essential air conditioning in many of the buildings on central campus, it has been determined that the work would be best centered around the March student break. Excavation work at the most critical pedestrian and vehicular travel locations is scheduled to be undertaken during the break week. Detailed plans of the project can be found on the Facilities Management Web page. Contact Charlie Conant at Facilities Management for additional information, please
