Loretta Ross, "Feminism in the Service of White Supremacy", Thursday, Feb. 7, 7:30 p.m., Seelye 106

Activist-in-residence Loretta Ross presents “Feminism in the Service of White Supremacy: The Personhood Amendment in Mississippi," a public lecture on the interplay of racial and sexual politics in the anti-abortion and voter suppression drives during the 2012 election campaign. Ross is a longtime anti-violence and human rights organizer, a builder of coalitions between women of color and white feminists, and a prime mover in the paradigm shift from a reproductive rights to a reproductive justice movement.
