The year 2009 opened on a tone of hope and national pride as Smith students traveled to Washington, D.C., while others gathered on campus to witness an historic presidential inauguration. People in the Smith community have continued to underscore their distinction with an ongoing succession of honors, awards and accomplishments. Read about them in the Best of PeopleNews spring 2009.
