Construction on Campus

A Pictorial Update of Summer Construction Projects

For several weeks, a construction crew had a great view of the Valley from atop the dome of Sage Hall. Sage renovations this summer included a complete replacement of the slate tiles and copper flashings around the building's dome, as well as replacement of flat roofing, and of all the windows and window treatments. The project also included long-needed repairs and new paint on the ceiling inside Sweeney Concert Hall. Watch the Gate for future construction updates on campus.

Not for those afraid of heights. For several weeks, construction workers climbed atop scaffolding encircling the Sage dome.

No small feat: replacing large, circular windows around the dome, complete with weather-proof casings.
