Access to Library Resources & Services

Visitors may access print library materials onsite, but computers held within the Smith College Libraries are available only to those affiliated with the Smith College community. Visitors may still access library eResources onsite by connecting to the guest wireless network through their own devices.

If you are a resident of Hampshire, Hampden, and Franklin Counties, and 18 years or older, you may purchase limited borrowing privileges of Smith circulating materials from Young Library and the Five College Annex. See Purchase a Library Card for more information.

Copy and print services onsite require the purchase of a print/copy card while scanning services are available free of charge. For any questions related to the Libraries’ resources, visitors are encouraged to ask for assistance at a library service desk.

The Smith College Libraries aim to create a safe and welcome learning environment for all users. All visitors to the Libraries are expected to understand and follow the user behavior policies of the Libraries. Any visitor causing disruptive behavior within the Libraries will be asked to leave by library staff.
