Scott is one of the archives relocation assistants preparing the library’s Special Collections for its move to temporary quarters while the new Neilson Library is under construction. The team has been surveying the Sophia Smith Collection, the College Archives and the Mortimer Rare Book Collection, assessing potential risks to materials and completing collection preparation. They are also responsible for creating and maintaining associated metadata, as well as cultivating intellectual and physical control over collections. The work includes a wide range of archival activities, from rehousing fragile artifacts to accessioning new collections. Scott's height is a plus in the taller stacks.

Though the ocean is in his blood, Scott enjoys an array of terrestrial activities with his family, screenwriting at night and sprinting.
