Lou Bouley is the supervisor of the Catalog and Metadata section. She is responsible for the cataloging of newly acquired materials in all formats. She also batch loads catalog records for electronic books and serials as well as streaming videos. The cataloging of Smith College's honors projects and Social Work theses and dissertations in the Scholarworks Repository is one of Lou's favorite parts of her job.

Outside of the library, Lou has been an active member of the League of Women Voters of the Northampton Area for 35 years. She has bowled on a ten-pin bowling team once a week for the last 30+ years. She is involved with her church as a lector. She also enjoys games of trivia with friends once a week. Her family of three brothers and one sister and their families all live in the Northampton area and she spends her free time with them.
