Margy Jessup is a member of both Special Collections and the Digital Strategies and Services Group (DSS) and serves as the principal steward of digital content for Special Collections, with a focus on long-term digital preservation and website content. She represents Special Collections on the Libraries' Web Coordinating Team and provides editorial oversight and management for Special Collections web content. In addition, she works to increase access to original audiovisual resources in Special Collections through preservation planning and providing online access to digital media.
Margy has worked in the Sophia Smith Collection and College Archives in various capacities for over 20 years. Before coming to Smith College she worked at the Jones Library in Amherst and the University of Massachusetts Amherst Library. Her personal interests include hiking (preferably with a dog or two), yoga, Tai Chi, writing, gardening, local history and genealogy.
