Jasmine Jones is the Metadata and Technical Services Archivist for Smith College Special Collections. In this role, she plans for and participates in the implementation of new systems to manage information about Special Collections materials and to make materials and their information discoverable and accessible. She also works with metadata -- establishing workflows, advising on metadata standards, and ensuring quality metadata is created and maintained. Jasmine works closely with Libraries and Special Collections staff to support digital initiatives, such as large-scale digitization projects and digital platforms.

Jasmine grew up in a small beach town in California and lived in Los Angeles for a number of years. Before coming to Smith, she worked as a digital project manager at UCLA Library Special Collections. When Jasmine is not working, she enjoys exploring New England, taking dance classes, and hanging out with her partner and cat, Goose.
