Peabody pot New England [Reproduction]

United States, 19 th century, terracotta

The Peabody flowerpot had ear-like handles similar to those found on stoneware crocks. The original was made by Page & Co. of Peabody, Massachusetts. Guy Wolff recreated the pot from an archival photo, but examples of flowerpots similar to this can be found throughout the Boston area.
