Cavendishia adenophora, is a plant in the Ericaceae (blueberry) family. It is native to Columbia, South America.

The town of El Queremal is named after this plant, known locally as  quereme de la rosa. The beautiful and fragrant flowers are highly valued and are  believed  by indigenous people to hold powers of enchantment.
Because its natural range is quite constricted and the plant is valued both economically and culturally, conservation of this plant is becoming a critical matter.

This is the first time our Cavendishia adenophora has bloomed!

This plant lives in the Warm Temperate House.
