Interested in Volunteering at The Botanic Garden of Smith College?

We need your help with our mission of education about the science, beauty, and importance of the plant kingdom!

Train to lead tours for school age and adult groups through the historic Lyman Conservatory with its renowned collection of plants from around the world.
Enjoy interacting with the public, but giving tours isn’t your thing? Volunteers also staff our reception desk  on weekends, during our annual flower shows and special events, and on holidays.

The next three day Volunteer Training Session will be held from 9:00am – 4:00 pm on January 18 and 19 and January 20, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, 2018. Registration is required. Fill out an application today!

Training includes a history of the botanic garden; tours of greenhouses; some basic botany and horticulture; commercial, medicinal and food plants of the Botanic Garden and how to guide visitors and school groups.
