Medical School professor offers class to freshmen
Smith alumna Forrest Spencer ’78, associate professor of medicine, molecular biology and genetics, did not begin her career with a focus on teaching, but now she’s leading a gateway science course for budding scientists at the Johns Hopkins University. “Most of my career has been spent in research,” she says. “About five or six years ago, I became engaged in some outreach to high school students.
