The Dining Services staff is looking forward to providing our graduating seniors and their guests dining opportunities during the Commencement weekend.

Thursday and Friday, May 12, 13: Seniors Only

All seniors are invited to the Senior Celebration Dinner on Thursday, May 12, following Baccalaureate, and the Ivy Day Senior luncheon on Friday, May 13, following the Ivy Day & Commencement Rehearsal (details will be posted in the Commencement booklet).

Saturday, May 14: Box Luncheon, Noon-1 p.m.

A box lunch after Ivy Day ceremonies on Saturday will be available in Scott Gym for seniors and their guests. Families may meet and dine at the gym or take their box lunches to any location on campus. Purchasing tickets for this lunch in advance via the meal ticket order form included in the parent packet will eliminate long lines. There is NO charge for the Smith senior.

Box Lunch Menu

  • Roast turkey, green leaf lettuce, cranberry mayonnaise
    on cranberry-orange bread
  • Tuna salad, green leaf lettuce on multi-grain bread
  • Moroccan carrot & olive tapenade with baby spinach in
    an herb wrap
  • Quinoa salad with edamame, raisins, red & yellow
  • Assorted snack chips & baby carrots
  • Cabot cheddar cheese & crackers
  • Chocolate fudge brownies & vegan cookies
  • Assorted fresh hand fruit
  • Assorted beverages

Price for ALL guests
$11 per person by May 1 ($12 after May1)
$5 for children under 12 ($6 after May 1)


Sunday, May 15: Morning

The Campus Center Cafe will be open at 7 a.m. on Sunday morning for families and guests to purchase coffee and breakfast items prior to Commencement.

Sunday, May 15: Commencement Lunch, 12:30-2 p.m.

A Commencement lunch will be served in college dining rooms and the Campus Center Carroll Room. Each senior will be emailed a lunch ticket plus 2 complimentary guest lunch tickets once her senior survey is completed. (Senior surveys are emailed to seniors in April.) Once the survey is returned, the senior and her guests will be assigned to a dining location.

Seniors from Friedman, Tenney, Hopkins, off-campus, Ada Comstock Scholars, graduate students, and January seniors will be issued two complimentary luncheon tickets for guests and will be assigned to a dining room once the senior surveys are returned.

Additional Commencement lunch tickets may also be purchased for guests. (Go to meal ticket order form.)

  • Sliced roast sirloin with creamy horseradish sauce
  • Roast turkey with cranberry chipotle sauce
  • Curried chick peas and cauliflower
  • Fresh roasted rosemary red bliss potatoes
  • Fresh roasted green beans
  • Mediterranean cous cous salad
  • Spinach strawberry salad
  • Fresh fruit platter
  • Smith special homemade cupcakes
  • Assorted beverages

Additional tickets for guests also may be purchased at the door. The Dining Office will be open on Friday, May 15, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. & Saturday, May 16, from 8 a.m-Noon.
