For the past two years the program has been overseen by Brown Post-Baccalaureate Curatorial Fellow Shanice Bailey ‘17J. Each year, seven participants are selected by lottery at the start of the fall semester. Entrance is open to all current Smith students regardless of major, class year or experience with art. Under Shanice’s guidance, the Student Picks curators-in-training engage deeply with the museum’s collection, working behind the scenes to shape their fresh curatorial vision and prepare and present their unique Student Picks show. Student Picks is supported by the Estelle Glatt Sosland ’46 and Morton Sosland Museum Director’s Fund. ABOVE: Planned to coincide with SCMA’s Thursday extended hours, Student Picks shows are installed in the Cunningham Center on the last Thursday of each month from 4 to 8 pm October through April
