About TAG PreK-12 educators are invited to join SCMA’s Teacher Advisory Group (TAG), which meets four times a year to preview upcoming exhibitions, tour current exhibitions, plan teacher programs, and provide valuable feedback to SCMA educators. Meetings are scheduled on Thursdays from 4 to 6:30 pm and include dinner. Teachers are eligible to receive an Educator level membership after attending three meetings and may request a certificate to document professional development hours. Enjoy a professional learning community of teachers from all grade levels and subject areas who are passionate about utilizing the resources of the museum. Gain further experience in teaching with art objects and form a community with like-minded educators to together build our capacity for innovation.

TAG participants should be: - Pre-K-12 teachers of any discipline - Enthusiastic about problem solving, collaborating, and innovative teaching - Willing to be ambassadors for SCMA back in their school communities.

Our goal is that TAG will be comprised of K-12 educators from a diversity of disciplines and teaching contexts. All are welcome to attend the meetings, and please feel free to share with interested colleagues!

Please contact Gina at ghall@smith.edu with any questions. Mark your calendar for 2020 meeting dates: January 23, March 5, April 30
