These 6 x 6 ceramic tiles are over runs from the Sandy Skoglund (class of 1963) 2002 men’s "artist's restroom project" installation at the Museum. Ruth DeYoung Kohler (class of 1963), the director of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin facilitated this project. Ms Skoglund describes these bold black line drawings titled Liquid Origins, Fluid Dreams, as “images of various folktales and myths that employ water as a governing element in the story of the creation of the universe". We are able to offer 6 different creation narratives as interpreted by Sandy. Each tile is packaged with her narrative printed on card stock.
