In these evenings for educators, explore change over time in Germany through one individual’s point of view by analyzing her visual art and personal diaries. Inspired by the exhibition Mothers’ Arms: Käthe Kollwitz’s Women and War, on view January 29–May 29, 2016. These interdisciplinary workshops will model strategies that support students in building their visual and media literacy skills through inquiry, observation and dialogue. Due to the sophisticated content of the exhibition, this workshop is most appropriate for middle and high school teachers.
