Center for Women in Mathematics Postbaccalaureate Program

If you are a woman who is strongly considering graduate school in the mathematical sciences but did not major in mathematics or your mathematics major was light, the postbaccalaureate program provides an opportunity to study mathematics intensively for one or two semesters at the advanced undergraduate level.

Applicants should have taken at least linear algebra and vector calculus and at least one mathematical course above the level of calculus.

  • Three letters of recommendation (at least two from mathematics professors)
  • Official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – applicable only to applicants from non-English-speaking countries
  • Résumé
  • Personal statement that describes how this program fits with your background and goals

Optional Materials

  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) – applicable only to international applicants from English-speaking countries.

Financial Assistance

Full scholarships may be available for some applicants.
