Precollege Programs

Two precollege summer program students outside

Smith Precollege is offering in-person opportunities for summer 2022. We do not plan to offer remote summer opportunities at this time. Explore your academic interests while learning more about yourself. Join other motivated high school students who want to be engaged, get inspired and expand their experiences both in and out of the classroom. Be part of supportive community led by Smith faculty, staff and undergraduate students. All programs are for young women, female-identified or gender-nonconforming students who will be entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 in fall 2022. Review our Codes of Conduct for students and parents/guardians to ensure that this program is the right fit for you.

Our Application is Open

The last day to apply is May 15, 2022. We will accept applications until 11:59 p.m. EST on May 15, or once they reach capacity, whichever comes first. Some exceptions apply.

Precollege Programs COVID-19 Safety Plan

As of January 21, 2022, all members of the Smith community are required to be vaccinated and have a booster shot for COVID-19. Smith College’s COVID-19 Incident Response Team (CIRT) has determined that for the safety of our community, all Precollege program participants, staff and faculty must be fully vaccinated (plus booster) prior to arrival on campus this summer. Our COVID-19 Safety Plan for Smith Precollege Programs will be shared in early summer. The on-campus Summer Precollege Program experience is being developed in the spirit of Smith’s COVID-19 Culture of Care and in keeping with local, state and federal guidelines.
