Teaching Fellows
Unique to the Smith M.F.A. program is that all students are teaching fellows: all M.F.A. students teach the equivalent of three studio courses per year. Thus, we are interested in students who have some teaching experience or skill.
As teaching fellows, all M.F.A. students receive tuition waivers for all but one of the required graduate courses. Every fellow is also paid a monthly stipend.
