Sarah Paquet is a conductor, mezzo-soprano, and music educator. At Smith, she teaches Introduction to Choral Singing, voice lessons, and aural skills classes, and also works with the Smith College Glee Club and Chamber Singers.
Her past appointments include director roles at Avon Old Farms School (Avon, CT), University of Detroit Jesuit High School (Detroit, MI), and St. Mary Student Parish (Ann Arbor, MI). She has conducted the Yale Glee Club, Marquand Chapel Choir of Yale Divinity School, Yale Camerata, and Cantata Academy Chorale of Detroit, MI. Sarah has sung professionally with the Yale Schola Cantorum, Schola Antiqua of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church in New Haven, CT, and Audivi.
Sarah holds the Bachelor of Music degree in music education from the University of Michigan and the Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Yale University. She has studied conducting with Marguerite Brooks, Jeffrey Douma, David Hill, Simon Carrington, Eugene Rogers, and Paul Rardin.
