Joy Baglio is a writer of speculative-literary fiction and the founder/director of Pioneer Valley Writers’ Workshop, a literary arts organization in Northampton, Massachusetts. Her short stories have appeared widely, in publications such as Tin House, American Short Fiction, The Iowa Review, TriQuarterly, Gulf Coast and elsewhere. She has received fellowships and awards from Yaddo, The Elizabeth George Foundation, Bread Loaf, Vermont Studio Center and The Speculative Literature Foundation, among others. She holds a master’s from The New School, teaches regularly at both Pioneer Valley Writers’ Workshop and Grub Street, and is currently working on a short story collection and a novel about ghosts.
