Biography

Joy Baglio is the founder and director of Pioneer Valley Writers’ Workshop and associate fiction editor at West Branch, a literary magazine based at Bucknell University. Her short stories have appeared recently in Tin House, The Iowa Review, TriQuarterly, New Ohio Review, PANK, SmokeLong Quarterly and elsewhere. She holds an master’s in fiction from The New School and has received fellowships and scholarships from The Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, The Elizabeth George Foundation and The Speculative Literature Foundation. She’s at work on a novel about a half-mermaid protagonist.
