Biography

Duncan Griffin is the Learning Specialist & Tutorial Services Coordinator at the Jacobson Center. In this role, he hires, trains and supervises the peer tutors in the non-quantitative disciplines; offers college success skills training through workshops and one-on-one instruction; and teaches IDP 136, Applied Learning Strategies.

Griffin holds a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Maryland College Park and is nearing completion of a master’s degree in labor studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. While his years in academia have left him with a breadth of research interests, he has found his frequent work with undergraduate students in an instructional capacity most engaging. Griffin currently lives in West Hartford, Connecticut, and in his free time he enjoys baking, playing tennis and spending quality time with friends.
