Before coming to Smith, David Meyer was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Missouri.
His research is in representation theory of finite-dimensional algebras, with particular focus on group and incidence algebras. Recently he has become interested in applying techniques from representation theory to topological data analysis.
When not doing mathematics, Meyer enjoys running and watching British murder mysteries.
