Biography
Originally trained in the field of algebraic geometry, Daniel Schultheis has branched out to math education and pedagogy. He joined Smith to serve as a coordinator for the calculus sequence and works with several initiatives to ease the transition to college for students in various STEM fields. He is writing a book for general readers that introduces advanced mathematical ideas to younger audiences through games and playful activities.
