Biography
Cat Dawson is an art historian and scholar of gender and sexuality studies whose work explores relationships between culture, technology, and subjectivity in contemporary US and European contexts. They also currently hold an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Their first book, Monumental: Race, Representation, Redress, will be published by MIT Press in 2024.
For spring 2023, Cat is teaching Art and its Histories and Queer + Trans Visual Cultures.
