Community Loom: An Invitation to an Artistic Meditation on our Biosphere in Autumn

October 4-6; Campus Center Steps
Friday 1-8pm; Saturday 11-5pm; Sunday 12-2pm

Grasses, woody cuttings, and organic materials will be gathered for our use by Botanic Garden staff from across campus as the gardens are prepared for winter. These materials represent the biodiversity that surrounds us, and we invite you to participate in the process of creating a weaving on a loom with these materials both as a way of interacting viscerally with natural materials and experiencing ourselves as part of an interdependent community that creates together; the piece being greater than the sum of its parts.
