2018 International Students Pre-orientation ISP
Our newest international students on the last day of International Students' Pre-orientation 2018.

International Development builds relationships with alumnae, parents, and friends living outside the United States in order to match donors' philanthropic goals with the strategic priorities of the college.

How do I give to Smith if I live abroad?

Thank you for supporting Smith! Making a gift to Smith is easy whether you live in the United States or elsewhere.

Gifts from outside the United States

You can use a debit or credit card in any major currency to give to Smith via our secure donation page. The confirmation and receipt of your gift will be listed in U.S. dollars, though your debit or credit card statement will show the amount of your gift converted to your local currency.

Donors outside the United States can also make gifts via checks from U.S. bank accounts or wire transfers.

Gifts from the United Kingdom

Smith has partnerships with organizations such as the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) and the National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) in the United Kingdom in order to assist donors in the U.K. with their giving. To explore the possibility of making a gift through these channels, please contact Jacqui DeFelice at

Gifts from the Republic of Korea

Working with the college, Smith alumnae and parents in Korea set up a support group, the Korean Alumnae, Parents and Friends of Smith College; this group participates in the Designated Donation Program of the Korea Foundation. You can make a gift to the Korea Foundation to support Korean Studies at Smith. The Korea Foundation will provide you with a Korean tax benefit, in accordance with the Restriction of Tax Reduction and Exemption Act.

For detailed information regarding making a gift via the Korea Foundation’s Designated Donation Program, please contact Danielle Brown at

Match Your Gift

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please enter your employer's name below or check with your human resources department. Some large employers provide very generous matches.

If your company matches, you may be able to access the forms directly through the search. Follow the procedure described below; if needed, our staff will be happy to assist. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
