Why Should You Give? Reason #26:
Fund the arts on campus
Read Smith’s UPDATED plans as of August 5, 2020,
for an entirely remote fall 2020 semester.
The Office of Alumnae and Donor Relations seeks to foster the relationship between Smith College and its alumnae and celebrates the impact of philanthropy at the college.
“Financial aid for me fulfilled my wish of studying engineering in one of the best liberal arts colleges and gave me the opportunity to be a part of this amazing and unique community. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to be able to study my passion in a place where opportunities are everywhere and there is place for growth.”
“Smith gave me a chance to have a future and a choice. As a first-generation college student, the entire college process was a new concept for my family. Though my first year at Smith was difficult, I learned and adapted quickly. I managed to raise my GPA, participate in a multitude of organizations, expand my cultural understanding and study abroad. I credit a large part of my transformation to the support of donors. Knowing they saw something in me and made an investment drove me to continue even when it seemed impossible.”
“As a low-income student, financing college is a struggle for my family, so I'm glad scholarship aid exists to give students like me the chance to experience Smith. Being able to study here has given me access to one-of-a-kind opportunities which would not have been possible without the generous support of donors.”
