Financial Reporting
Apply for Banner Finance
Please complete and return forms to the controller's office for review. We will obtain appropriate signatures and forward to ITS and the Budget Office for review and processing.
Complete your name, ID# (the 99 number on your college ID), department name, campus mailing address, campus phone and your network server name. Leave the remainder of the front of the form blank. Please sign the back of the form and have your supervisor sign the back where indicated (the associate provost sign as supervisor for faculty).
Complete the personal information at the top. Fill in the fund and/or org numbers and titles for which you are requesting access, and have your supervisor sign and date where indicated (the associate provost sign as supervisor for faculty)
Training
Access to BannerINB and BannerWeb requires attendance at a finance training session offered by the controller's office. Training sessions are generally offered in late September, late January and early May. Please email us to register for one of these sessions or to schedule your own.
Access Banner Finance
There are three ways to access Banner Finance online:
1. BannnerINB
Using Internet Explorer or Safari, go to banner.smith.edu:9999. You will have access to real-time information and will be able to download to an Excel spreadsheet; however, you will have limited access to the full Banner suite of forms.
2. BannerWeb
You may access BannerWeb from the Smith Portal, at portal.smith.edu, using any web browser. Log in to the Smith Portal using your Smith username and password. You will have access to real-time information and will be able to download to an Excel spreadsheet; however, limited information is available.
3. ePrint
You may access ePrint from any browser, at reposit.smith.edu. ePrint provides information not available eleswhere, including: grant activity inception to date and current period; student position codes; student payroll; casual workers’ payroll; grant payroll inception to date and current period; summary report showing budget versus actual for two years. The information is available for download to an Excel spreadsheet.
Access to ePrint is granted to any financial manager responsible for funds of the college (general funds, grant funds, endowed funds, etc.)
