About the Sophomore Dean

Photo of Tina Wildhagen

Tina Wildhagen is the dean of the sophomore class. A faculty member in the Department of Sociology since 2008, Wildhagen studies inequality in the education system. She regularly teaches courses on the topic (for example, Power and Privilege in the American Education System) as well as quantitative research methods. Working closely with students—either in the classroom, on collaborative research, or in advising—is among the most rewarding parts of her job. Wildhagen’s hobbies include reading novels, running outdoors and making art, all of which she tries to incorporate into her favorite leisure activity: spending time with her three young children.
