A Walking Tour in Northern Spain

Walk the path that pilgrims have followed for more than a millennium on this twelve-day tour of El Camino de Santiago, or the Way of St. James.  Join Jane L. Carroll `76, Smith alumna and senior lecturer in art history at Dartmouth, as we traverse sections of the El Camino and experience this famous devotional path.

Start in Pamplona, in the northeast corner of Spain, and walk sections of the El Camino with other pilgrims en route to Santiago de Compostela to experience the famous Botafumeiro ceremony. Admire stunning artworks, taste fine cuisine, and relax in deluxe hotels along the way, with an average of 3.5 miles of hiking each day. Hear lectures from Jane L. Carroll that relate to your traveling experiences along the route.

This journey is co-sponsored by Dartmouth College. Space is limited on this educational adventure, so we recommend that you reserve your place soon.
