Virginia Choi is a doctoral student of social and organizational psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. She researches the influence of culture and social norms on discriminatory attitudes and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to her doctoral studies, Choi worked in marketing within the nonprofit sector, and she worked as a journalist for several years. She graduated from Smith with a degree in philosophy.
In addition to her current volunteer role with the Alumnae Association, Choi served as the vice president of communications for the Washington, D.C. Smith Club from 2015 to 2017. She also served as the 2009–10 president of the Smith College Student Government Association.
