Resources
Smith students have a wide range of opportunities to study, conduct research or undertake internships abroad.
- Students should contact their adviser, department, class dean or other programs such as Praxis funding to determine any requirements that apply and to identify available resources.
- Undergraduates interested in taking a semester or year abroad should consult with the Office for International Study.
- The Career Development Office provides counsel and reference materials on internships, work opportunities and Praxis funding.
- Student organizations traveling on college sponsored trips are responsible for appointing an officer of the organization to act as the trip leader, and notifying the Office of Student Engagement of the name of the appointed trip leader. The trip leader must follow the College Policy on Short-Term Travel Abroad and consult the policy for a list of their responsibilities and a list of available resources. Individual students should work with their adviser and the checklist for planning to understand their responsibilities.
