Draper Business Plan Competition
WFI is proud to sponsor the Draper Business Plan Competition, now in its second year at Smith. Made possible through the generous support of Tim and Melissa Draper ’77, the Draper Business Plan Competition seeks to encourage students of all majors to leverage their creativity, generate ideas and build sustainable business models. WFI supports them step-by-step with a series of weekly "how-to" workshops. Every aspect of converting a passion into a viable business is covered, from ideation to networking, planning, pitching, selling, and more.
Students have the option to submit their business plans byMarch 26th to enter the competition to win many prizes, adding up to over $20,000. They will also have the opportunity to connect with alumnae mentors who can provide valuable feedback and networking opportunities.
The workshop series and several dinner events culminate in the final competition, to be held on April 16th when the Smith campus and the larger community are invited to view the students' work in a trade show.
In addition to the many prizes students can win, Smith houses can win prizes in a variety of contests designed to generate enthusiasm and a spirit of friendly rivalry.
This year we will also be accepting submissions from Barnard College, Bay Path College and Mount Holyoke College.
The Deadline to submit applications is over and competitors will be notified by email by 11:59 pm EST on Friday, March 28th.
