Jill holds a Master's Degree from UMass Amherst in "Clothing and Human Behavior" and has held the position of costumer in the theatre department at Smith for 20 years. She has designed and constructed costumes for the Five College Dance Department, Sorvino Dance, Yvonne Daniel, Jowalle Willa Jo Zollar of Urban Bush Women, Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA, the Talking Band of New York, New Century Theater and Florentine Films locally. She has served on the board and curated several shows at the Fiber Arts Center in Amherst, MA. She has been a member of the Textile Society of America, the Costume Society of America and the North American Textile Conservation Group. She has traveled extensively in the Caribbean and Central America, France, Indonesia, Mexico and most recently participated in conservation work at a museum in New Orleans that suffered damage during Hurricane Katrina.
